The “Pentaport Rock Festival,” which heats up Incheon’s summer nights, takes place at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park. During the period when the Pentaport Rock Festival is held, Songdo Moonlight Festival Park transforms into a concert venue, attracting numerous crowds.
Between Songdo Moonlight Festival Park Station and the park itself, you can find a small commercial area where various restaurants, big and small, can be found.
“Incheon Songdo Moonlight Festival Park Station Restaurant: Mara Gongbang”
Mara Gongbang is a restaurant located in a commercial area opposite Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon. It can be found on the second floor of the building, towards the end of Building F.
True to its name, Mara Gongbang serves “Mara” cuisine. You can select the desired ingredients, make your payment, and enjoy the Mara dish.
“On this day, I ordered Kkwaebaru and Flower Bun Fritters”
However, on this day, there wasn’t much time to dine leisurely. It was a situation where I needed to eat quickly and leave. Instead of trying Mara dishes like Mara Tang or Mara Shangguo, I intended to place an order for individual items.
Initially, I tried to order Egg Fried Rice, but it seemed that due to a rush of customers, I couldn’t order fried rice. The situation was the same for other menu items. Among the available options, “Kkwaebaru” was the only one I could order. However, if I ordered only one Kkwaebaru, the portion might be a bit small. So, I also ordered Flower Bun Fritters.
Since it was the first evening of the Pentaport Rock Festival, many customers were coming in to dine. Perhaps because of this, the ordered menu took longer than expected to arrive, which was a bit surprising. Nevertheless, fortunately, the menu didn’t take too long to arrive, allowing me to finish the meal within the allotted time.
Due to the rush, there wasn’t much time to savor the taste, but the Kkwaebaru was also decent. If I have the opportunity in the future, it might be nice to visit and try Mara dishes when there’s more time. If I participate in the Pentaport Rock Festival again next year, I’m considering visiting with more time to enjoy Mara cuisine.
