Especially, you can find many Chinese restaurants, ranging from the famous “Hong Kong Banjeom” endorsed by Baek Jong-won to various local Chinese restaurants.
You can particularly find numerous restaurants specializing in Chinese cuisine across the street from Gwanak-gu Office.
“Machai Jjamppong” is also a Chinese restaurant that you can find across from Gwanak-gu Office. It is known as a 45-year-old renowned restaurant in Daegu.
“Located Across from Gwanak-gu Office, Machai Jjamppong”
Machai Jjamppong is located directly facing Gwanak-gu Office. It’s easily accessible due to its location on the main street.
Even from the outside, you can see that the restaurant has noticeable interior design. It stands out for its clean and open atmosphere.

You can conveniently place your order at Machai Jjamppong using the kiosk. Once your food is ready, you’ll be notified through a vibrating bell system, and you can pick up your food to eat in a food court-style setting.

Since it was my first visit, I ordered the representative dish of a Chinese restaurant, Jjajangmyeon. I ordered the version called “Machai Jjajang,” which is priced at KRW 6,000. It’s an affordable option to try out.
It’s a place where you can have a simple meal, and it’s a Chinese restaurant located across from Gwanak-gu Office near Seoul National University Station. Overall, it gives off a clean impression, making it a good place to visit when you’re in the mood for Chinese cuisine.
