Incheon Airport is currently the main international gateway of South Korea. It opened on March 29, 2001, inheriting the international flight functions from Gimpo International Airport. There are currently two terminals, with Terminal 2 being a new terminal built in preparation for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. It is used by airlines such as Korean Air, Air France, Delta Air Lines, and KLM.
Incheon Airport Terminal 2 is relatively smaller and quieter compared to Terminal 1. While the impact of COVID-19 may play a role, it also feels less crowded in general due to its smaller size compared to Terminal 1.
“Incheon Airport Terminal 2: Paris Croissant”
On the basement 1st floor of Incheon Airport Terminal 2, you can find a food court named “Han Sik Mi Dam Gil.” On the opposite side, there are several cafes, with the largest one being “Paris Croissant.” It seems that this cafe used to share the space with other cafes, but now, only the signboards of other cafes are visible, and you cannot place orders. Perhaps it’s temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
Given the current situation, this cafe in Incheon Airport Terminal 2 appears to be the only place where you can take a break before continuing your journey. Once we move beyond the COVID-19 situation, other nearby cafes may also reopen, but for now…
“A Nice Place for a Short Rest”
Since it’s a cafe located in Incheon Airport, the prices are not particularly low, and the menu options are somewhat limited. However, the spacious layout makes it a great place to spend some time or recharge.
If you have some extra time before your departure or need a place to relax after arriving, this cafe is a good option. It’s also a nice place to spend time if you’re meeting a friend at the airport.
