If you were to name the most famous market in Pohang, it would likely be “Jukdo Market.” It’s a large traditional market and well-known for offering seafood such as “hoe” (raw fish) and crabs to visitors, especially those from out of town.
“This is a hotel located near Pohang Jukdo Market, called Lazavi. Situated within walking distance from Jukdo Market, the hotel is nestled between ‘Pohang Ggeumteullo’ and ‘Jukdo Market,’ both of which were featured in Baek Jong-won’s Alley Restaurant.
Until I chose accommodation in Pohang, I wasn’t aware of ‘Ggeumteullo.’ It was only after visiting the hotel that I learned of this nearby attraction. Unintentionally, I ended up finding a hotel in a great location.
“A Neat Accommodation at a Reasonable Price for an Overnight Stay”
While Lazavi is not a large-scale hotel, it offers a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Since our visit to Pohang was during the off-peak season, the room rate of 40,000 won per night for a single room didn’t feel overly burdensome. Since two of us shared the room, it worked out to be 20,000 won per person for a night’s stay.
I was a bit concerned that the low price might reflect a drop in quality, but the room was more spacious than expected. The hotel overall was well-maintained and clean, resulting in a high level of satisfaction.
“A Hotel Conveniently Located in the Heart of Pohang”
Situated in the city center of Pohang, the hotel is conveniently located. Nearby, you can find attractions such as Jukdo Market, Ggeumteullo, and Pohang Songdo. This makes it a strategically positioned hotel.
Overall, it’s a great value-for-money hotel for those exploring downtown Pohang.
