Gwanghwamun Hand-Drip Cafe “Coffee Tour Gwanghwamun Branch”

In the Gwanghwamun area, you can find a variety of cafes. From large franchise cafes to small ones, and even smaller ones that only offer takeout, it’s a place where you can explore a diverse range of cafes. This is likely because there is a high demand for coffee in the area due to the large number of office workers.

In the Gwanghwamun area, you can find several branches of a cafe called “Coffee Tour.” In the alley behind Kyunghee Palace’s Morning Office, you can find a very small cafe with the same name, “Coffee Tour.” If you head a bit further north towards Gyeongbok Palace or Gwanghwamun, you’ll find another vintage cafe also named “Coffee Tour.” They look so similar that you might even think they are operated by the same place.

“A Spacious Setting at Coffee Tour Gwanghwamun Branch”

Compared to the Coffee Tour behind Kyunghee Palace’s Morning Office, the Gwanghwamun branch is much larger. You can find seats throughout the store, providing a place to rest for a while. The store maintains a vintage feel, with sacks of coffee beans stacked on one side, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a rice mill or mill.

“Offering a Variety of Coffee Menu Items”

Like other cafes, Coffee Tour offers a variety of beverages. They have a basic Americano priced at 4,300 won, establishing a reasonable price range.

One distinctive menu item that sets them apart is the hand-drip coffee. You can choose the beans you prefer, and they will brew the coffee for you. Hand-drip coffee ranges in price starting from 7,000 won, and the types of beans available are as follows:

  • Colombia, Acevedo Berlin, Pink Bourbon
  • Ethiopia, Sidamo Bensa Dambi, Natural
  • Kenya, Gichathaini AA
  • (Decaf) Peru, Jaen
  • Sweet Spot
  • Take Five

“Cinnamon Ginger Latte: 6,000 won”

Among the various drinks, we ordered the Cinnamon Ginger Latte that day. It was a unique coffee with a blend of ginger and cinnamon flavors mixed with milk.

A small but distinctive cafe you can find in the Gwanghwamun area. It’s a space worth visiting from time to time.
