“Tokyo Tower”, The Symbol of Tokyo, Japan.

Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower in the Shiba-koen district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. At 332.9 meters, it is the second-tallest structure in Japan. The structure is an Eiffel Tower-inspired lattice tower that is painted white and international orange to comply with air safety regulations.

“Tokyo Tower, an iconic building in Tokyo.”

In the digital TV era, the Tokyo Skytree Tower was newly built and it was pushed out of the tallest building in Japan. Thus, it became the second tallest building in Tokyo, Japan. But Tokyo Tower still remains a symbol of Tokyo for Tokyo resident.

With the creation of Tokyo Skytree Tower, all digital broadcast radio waves are transmitted from Skytree, and only some broadcasters continue to transmit FM radio waves from Tokyo Tower. Sometimes, it is said that it has become a tower used for emergency transmission only when the transmitter of Skytree fails.

So, it can be said that Tokyo Tower has lost its original purpose, but it still remains a landmark symbolising Tokyo.
