Seoul Spicy Burger in Singapore
These days, you can hear Korean languages out side of Korea. It can be said that the power of Korean wave also known as “Hallu(한류)”
In 2017, McDonalds showed off “Seoul Spicy Burger” in Singapore. For this, they made a tv commercial as well. In the commercial, you can hear Korean languages the actresses say.
However, the language they use in the commercial is quite weird to hear for Korean natives. The pronunciation is not that clear, but also they just use “Oppa(오빠)” for Hamburger. I cannot quite understand the relationship of the word, Oppa and the hamburger.
“Hamburger with Korean Spicy Sauce”
The tv commercial is quite awkward. However, it is interesting to see “Seoul Spicy Burger” in Singapore. The burger is inspired by Korean cuisine, McDonald’s made the burger with Korean spicy sauce made with ingredients used in Korean delicacies.
