What does “Untact” mean?

After the COVID-19 pandemic happens. Nowadays, “ZERO” Contact, or “NON” Contact business is emphasised. Even the government focuses on it to stop spreading of the virus.

For that, in Korea, the terminology “Untact” was coined for the meaning of “NO Contact”, “ZERO Contact”, or “NON Contact”.

“Simply, it is Konglish”

This is a word introduced in Trend Korea 2018(Book) published by Professor Kim Nan-Do of Seoul National University in 2017. This term is coined to reflect domestic trends such as Gasimbi(Cost-effective for your feeling) and Newtro(New + Retro).

However, this terminology coined wrongly. It is only used in Korea. And this is widely spread in South Korea after the COVID-19 situation.
